Privacy Policy
Effective November 2, 2026
Nockle is a daily trivia game operated by Coregale that you can play without creating an account. This policy explains what information we collect, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Anonymous player information. Nockle creates a random player identifier and stores it in a first-party cookie named nockle_pid. The cookie is signed, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and valid for up to 400 days. It lets the game restore your progress, scores, streaks, archive, and selected visual rewards. Nockle does not require your name, email address, or an account.
Game activity. We store the puzzles you start, clues opened, submitted guesses, results, scores, and completion times. This information powers your progress and statistics and helps us understand question difficulty and game quality.
Information you choose to send. If you rate a puzzle or suggest a question, we store that rating or message with your anonymous player identifier. Do not include personal or sensitive information in a suggestion.
Technical and security information. Our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, request details, device or browser information, and diagnostic logs to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and investigate errors. Nockle also uses IP addresses temporarily for in-memory request limiting; those rate-limit entries are not added to the game database.
Advertising and cookies
Nockle uses Google AdSense to display ads. When ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to deliver, limit, personalize, and measure ads and to prevent fraud. The information Google receives can include the page URL, your IP address, and browser or device information. Learn more in Google's explanation of how it uses information from partner sites.
Where consent is required, an advertising consent message lets you accept, reject, or manage the available choices. You can revisit those choices through the privacy options shown on the site. Browser settings may also let you block or delete cookies, but deleting nockle_pid will reset the progress and statistics available on that device.
How and why we use information
We use information to provide and maintain the game, save player progress, calculate scores and community statistics, review feedback, improve questions and features, protect Nockle from fraud or misuse, comply with legal obligations, and support the site through advertising. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these uses rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Nockle, compliance with law, or your consent for advertising technologies where required.
When information is shared
We use service providers to operate Nockle, including Railway for application and database hosting, Cloudflare for domain, delivery, and security services, and Google for AdSense. They may process information on our behalf or under their own published terms. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect Nockle or others, or as part of a merger, financing, or transfer of the service. We do not sell the contents of your game history or suggestions.
Retention and security
Game records, ratings, and suggestions are retained for as long as reasonably needed to operate and improve Nockle, maintain statistics, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations, unless you request deletion where that right applies. Provider logs and advertising data follow the providers' retention practices. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your information, withdraw consent, or receive a portable copy. Because Nockle has no accounts, include the value of your nockle_pid cookie with a request if you want us to locate your game record. Do not send the cookie publicly. We may need to verify that the identifier belongs to your browser before acting.
Children
Nockle is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, they use legal safeguards intended to protect information transferred internationally.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Nockle changes. The effective date above will show the latest revision. For privacy questions or requests, contact Coregale at [email protected].
